• AI eLearning Powerpack now always uses OpenAI’s Responses API, following OpenAI’s retirement of the Assistants API on 26 August 2026. The “Use Responses API” setting is no longer needed, so it has been replaced with a note on the Settings page.
• Updated admin notices and assistant profile guidance to reflect the Assistants API retirement. The notice now only appears if an assistant profile still relies on a legacy Assistant ID.
• Added extra checks to AI-Powered Conversations, AI Virtual Tutors and AI-Enhanced Reflections, so they only respond for published items (or for users who can edit them).
• As an extra precaution, learners’ own messages in the conversation window are now always displayed as plain text.
• Made some additional language strings translatable, including buttons and labels in AI-Enhanced Reflections and AI-Powered Conversations.
• Declared compatibility with WordPress 7.1.3.
• Updated plugin licensing functionality.

Bugfixes

• Fixed an issue where downloading troubleshooting details from the Get Help page could cause an error on sites running PHP 8.
• Fixed an issue where AI Virtual Tutors restricted to specific LearnDash Groups could be shown to all users if LearnDash was deactivated.
